Reklam ve retorik

Abstract

Reklam ve retorik kitabı, retoriğin sözlü dönemle başlayıp yazılı dönemle oluşumunu inceler. Çalışma, Aristoteles'in retorik öğretisinde işlediği üçlemelerden yola çıkar. Sözlü dönemle başlayıp yazılı dönemle gelişen ve retoriğin görsel dönemini ayrıntılarıyla inceleyen "Reklam ve Retorik" kitabı, reklamla retoriğin ne denli örtüştüğünü ortaya koymak için bir önerme de geliştirmiştir. Kitapta üç reklam filmi retorik kuramlarıyla incelenerek reklamlardaki estetik retorik değerler Aristoteles, Pierce ve Phillips ve McQuarrie'in çözümleme kuramlarından yararlanılıp ortaya konmuştur. Çalışma, retoriğin içinde bulundurduğu üçlemelerden esinlenerek üç kuramcının üç kuramıyla amaçlı olarak seçilen üç reklam incelemiştir. Kısaca "Reklam ve Retorik" kitabı için, Aristoteles retoriğinden reklam retoriğine uzanan bir serüvendir de denilebilir. (Tanıtım Bülteninden).
