Abstract

Una buena parte de los estudios sobre Cuba intentan explicar su situación mediante las teorías de los procesos de transición occidentales. Sin embargo, todos esos trabajos tienden a hacer especulaciones para cuando supuestamente se acabe el sistema socialista, casi ninguno hace alusión al proceso actual de marcha de la economía. En esta investigación tomo distancia de ese tipo de análisis y pretendo referirme al proceso de reinserción de la economía cubana en la Cuenca del Caribe que se inició hace algunos años.
