Abstract

O presente estudo assenta numa investigação sobre a ação educativa docente no que concerne a consciência fonológica. Reflete a prática docente, à luz do paradigma qualitativo e veicula a investigação sobre a prática profissional de forma a encontrar respostas para as necessidades educativas. A pertinência do tema surgiu no estágio de prática profissional no contexto do primeiro ciclo do ensino básico, porque esta competência linguística é a base da aprendizagem da leitura e da escrita. O desenvolvimento da consciência fonológica influencia a capacidade de aprender a ler e a escrever, através da descodificação do fonema/grafema e grafema/fonema, condição necessária para a perícia na fluência da leitura e da escrita. Este estudo adota a metodologia de investigação-ação e para ação, na lógica de que a reflexão sobre a prática profissional permite ao professor melhorá-la. Tem como objetivos, compreender a importância da consciência fonológica na aprendizagem da leitura e da escrita e definir estratégias para minimizar as necessidades encontradas.
