Abstract

Hvert år utdannes det et stort antall profesjonelle yrkesutøvere fra høyskoler og universiteter. Dette prosjektet legger opp til en longitudinell studie av hvorfor profesjonelle yrkesutøvere identifiserer seg med profesjonen de tilhører når de kommer ut i arbeidslivet. Det fokuseres spesielt på hvordan arbeidsdeling i form av profesjonalisering og byråkratisering virker inn på yrkesutøveres identifisering med arbeidssted og profesjon. Identifisering med profesjon eller arbeidssted vil ha betydning for yrkes- og mobilitetsatferd i arbeidslivet. Det er for eksempel svært sannsynlig at organisatoriske forhold har forskjellig betydning for yrkesutøvere av ulike profesjoner når det gjelder yrkesstolthet, videreutdanning, avgang fra yrket og skifte av arbeidssted.
