The dissertation concerns religious education in the family. It consists of six chapters. In the first one, the teaching of the Church regarding religious upbringing in the family is discussed. It concerns the subject of the education, the essence and aims of religious education, stages of child's religious development, dimensions of religious education and the family, as the basic environment of religious education. The second chapter presents the methodology of own research. The third chapter describes the parents' knowledge of the assumptions of religious education in the family. The fourth chapter presents the implementation of the extent of religious education by parents. The fifth chapter shows the creation of a religious education environment. The sixth chapter presents conclusions and pastoral postulates regarding the renewal of religious education in the family.

Rozprawa dotyczy wychowania religijnego w rodzinie. Składa się z sześciu rozdziałów. W pierwszym jest omówione nauczanie Kościoła dotyczące wychowania religijnego w rodzinie. Dotyczy ono podmiotu wychowania, istoty i celów wychowania religijnego, etapów rozwoju religijnego dziecka, wymiarów wychowania religijnego oraz rodziny, jako podstawowego środowiska wychowania religijnego. W drugim rozdziale ukazana jest metodologia badań własnych. Rozdział trzeci opisuje wiedzę rodziców wobec założeń wychowania religijnego w rodzinie. Rozdział czwarty przedstawia realizację wymiaru wychowania religijnego przez rodziców. W rozdziale piątym ukazane jest tworzenie środowiska wychowania religijnego. W rozdziale szóstym przedstawione są wnioski i postulaty pastoralne dotyczące odnowy wychowania religijnego w rodzinie.
