Abstract

The publication contains a multi-faceted analysis of the issues of Catholic upbringing of children in the family, preschool and the Church, undertaken by researchers representing various disciplines in the field of humanities, social and theological sciences as well as pedagogical practitioners. The book examines the cooperation of entities involved in the integral development of the child and the integration of all upbringing activities, taking into account the principle of subsidiarity in supporting the family and the upbringing process. It covers various issues concerning the assumptions of the child's upbringing, with particular emphasis on its anthropological foundations, the specificity of upbringing in Catholic preschools, their identity and the catechetical instruction of preschool children. The involvement of the family, the preschool and the Church in the area of Catholic upbringing has a common objective: to support the child in his or her harmonious development, so as to consistently strive to actuate the dispositions that make up human, personal nature. The role and significance of preschool education inspired by the teaching of the Catholic Church is presented to draw attention to the various entities and environments involved in the integral upbringing of children at preschool age. In view of contemporary educational challenges, it is important to respond to the needs of parents seeking support in raising their children in accordance with their beliefs, anchored in the Christian value system and in the teaching of the Catholic Church.

W publikacji zawarta jest wieloaspektowa analiza problematyki katolickiego wychowania dziecka w rodzinie, przedszkolu i Kościele podjęta przez badaczy reprezentujących różne dyscypliny z obszaru nauk humanistycznych, społecznych i teologicznych oraz praktyków. Prezentacja współpracy podmiotów zaangażowanych w integralny rozwój dziecka i integracji wszystkich działań wychowawczych z uwzględnieniem zasady pomocniczości w służbie rodzinie i wychowaniu. Obejmuje różne zagadnienia dotyczące założeń wychowania dziecka, ze szczególnym uwzględnieniem jego antropologicznych podstaw, specyfiki wychowania w przedszkolach katolickich, ich tożsamości i katechezy dzieci w wieku przedszkolnym. Zaangażowanie rodziny, przedszkola i Kościoła w obszarze katolickiego wychowania łączy wspólny cel: wspieranie dziecka w harmonijnym rozwoju całej osoby, by konsekwentnie zmierzać do aktualizacji dyspozycji stanowiących osobową naturę ludzką. Ukazanie roli i znaczenia wychowania przedszkolnego inspirowanego nauczaniem Kościoła katolickiego zwraca uwagę na różne podmioty i środowiska zaangażowane w integralne wychowanie dziecka w wieku przedszkolnym. Wobec współczesnych wyzwań edukacyjnych, ważna jest odpowiedź rodzicom poszukującym odpowiadającego ich przekonaniom wsparcia w wychowaniu małego dziecka w oparciu o chrześcijański system wartości i zgodnie z nauczaniem Kościoła katolickiego.
