Jednym z przejawów szacunku dla dokonań teoretycznych i praktycznych wybitnych przedstawicieli polskiej bibliologii, np. Joachima Lelewela, Karola Estreichera, Heleny Radlińskiej, Jana Muszkowskiego, Józefa Grycza, Kazimierza Piekarskiego, Zygmunta Mocarskiego, Adama Łysakowskiego czy Heleny Hleb-Koszańskiej są księgi pamiątkowe, dokumentujące ich życie i twórczość2.
