La producción de frutas tropicales : panorama mundial y en Argentina

Abstract

El Programa Nacional Frutales, a través del Proyecto Específico Respuestas Tecnológicas para la Diversificación Productiva, propuso como objetivo, el conocer distintas alternativas productivas. En el caso de los cultivos tropicales, los temas de costos de producción y posibilidades de negocios que se traduzcan en una mejora de ingresos del productor agropecuario, no han recibido una merecida atención. Es por ello que durante 2014 y 2015 se realizaron estudios en las localidades de Montecarlo y Eldorado (Misiones) y Laguna Naineck (Formosa), con la participación de técnicos del Instituto Nacional de Tecnología Agropecuaria (Bella Vista, Montecarlo e IPAF NEA) y realizando entrevistas en fincas de productores. La banana generalmente se estudia separada de los cultivos tropicales, en este caso fue incluida debido a su importancia para el proyecto, sumada a ananá, mamón, palta, mango y otras frutas secundarias. El objetivo de este trabajo es presentar un panorama de la producción y el comercio de banana y frutos tropicales.
