La Ley Natural en Locke

Abstract

John Locke ocupa un lugar privilegiado en la filosofía por su papel en la configuración del liberalismo y del empirismo. En 1954, Wolfgang Von Leyden, publicó los Ensayos sobre la Ley de la Naturaleza, una compilación de apuntes del joven Locke sobre la Ley Natural. Aunque los “Ensayos…” no resultan comparables con los textos maduros de Locke, muestran sus primeros pasos en filosofía política y revelan la fuerte relación del autor con la escolástica. Este Locke “tradicional” contrastará con la modernidad de trabajos posteriores. En los Ensayos defenderá la existencia de la Ley Natural y planteará problemas como ¿Cuál es el método adecuado para conocerla? ¿Cuál es su relación con la Ley Divina? ¿Es obligatoria para los hombres?
