Ficha epidemiológica para registro de maloclusiones en niños en edad escolar

Abstract

Se expone un método de registro para la Investigación Epidemiológica de la frecuencia de Maloclusiones y la necesidad de tratamiento en niños en edad escolar. Se detalla la FICHA EPIDEMIOLOGICA CODIFICADA, confeccionada para dicho método de registro. Con ella se realiza un estudio individual que establece la información adecuada de las alteraciones presentes y necesidades terapéuticas de cada niño encuestado. Se explica la importancia de registrar la información en la etapa fundamental de la dentición mixta para el estudio de la situación y de las posibilidades de su tratamiento. Se explican los códigos, categorías y criterios para cada uno de los registros, los cuales son sencillos, se realizan con un mínimo de operaciones y escasos elementos.
