Abstract

A raça bovina Minhota apresenta como principal aptidão a produção de carne, com o recurso a sistemas intensivos, semi-intensivo e extensivos. A eficiência reprodutiva e produtiva numa raça bovina, influenciam os resultados técnico-económicos, justificando-se a sua avaliação. O objetivo do presente estudo consistiu na avaliação de indicadores reprodutivos e produtivos na raça Minhota. O estudo decorreu entre outubro de 2021 e setembro de 2022, em três explorações da raça Minhota (A – Extensivo; B – Intensivo; C - Semi-intensivo). A componente experimental deste estudo consistiu na recolha de dados reprodutivos, pesos de carcaça de vitelos e vitelões e na pesagem de vitelos e vacas. A análise estatística realizou-se através do Excel e SPSS. A idade ao primeiro parto (IPP) global foi de 26,63,2 meses, influenciada pela exploração (P0,05).

Minhota cattle breed present meat production as main aptitude, using intensive, semiintensive and extensive systems. Reproductive and productive efficiency in cattle breed, influence technical-economic results, justifying its evaluation. The objective of the present study consisted in the evaluation of reproductive and productive indicators in Minhota breed. The study took place between October 2021 and September 2022, on three Minhota breed farms (A - Extensive; B - Intensive; C - Semi-intensive). Experimental component of this study consisted of collecting reproductive data, carcass weights of veal and beef, and weighing calves and cows. Statistical analysis was performed using Excel and SPSS. Age at first calving (AFC) was 26.6±3.2 months, influenced by farm (P0.05).
