Abstract

The central objective of the study was to determine the relationship between the family social climate and aggressiveness in fourth and fifth grade students of a Public Educational Institution of Ica in a situation of social confinement. Regarding the methodological, the inquiry was basic level; of a quantitative type, under a non-experimental, causal correlational and transectional design. The sample was made up of 111 male and female students. Regarding the collection technique, the survey was applied through the use of the following instruments: the Family Social Climate Evaluation Scale (FES) elaborated by Moos, Moos and Tricheet, together with the Aggression Questionnaire (AQ) designed by Buss and Perry. The research revealed as results that there is a significant and inverse correlation between the family social climate variable and the aggressiveness variable in the participants (Rho= -.227* p= 0.016). Likewise, a significant relationship (p<0.05) was found between the development component with physical, verbal and anger aggressiveness. On the other hand, a predominance was found in the average and bad levels in the family social climate variable with 30.6% in each one, in addition to an average level of aggressiveness for 43.2% of cases. It is concluded that the better the family social climate is developed, the lower the manifestation of aggressiveness among peers who participated in this study.
