Comportamiento frente a la salinidad de tres nuevos patrones híbridos de Citrus Volkameriana ten. & pasq. x Poncirus Trifoliata(l.) raf.

Abstract

Los cítricos son considerados como sensibles a la salinidad del suelo o del agua de riego (Bernstein, 1980). Concentraciones elevadas de sal producen en las plantas diversos efectos, tales como la reducción del desarrollo vegetativo, debido al estrés hídrico (Behboudian etal., 1986), la disminución de la conductividad eléctrica y del crecimiento de las raíces, así como de la transpiración de las hojas (Syversten y Yelenosky, 1988), reducción de la asimilación de CO2, de la conductancia estomática y del potencial hídrico en las hojas (Walker et al., 1983).
