Diversidad y género en la edición de libros infantiles y juveniles

Abstract

El siguiente trabajo busca, a través de la combinación metodológica cualitativa y cuantitativa, identificar y describir cómo se configuran las problemáticas sobre diversidad y género en la edición de libros para la infancia y la adolescencia. La investigación se realizó a partir del análisis de un caso: el catálogo de literatura complementaria infantil y juvenil (LIJ) de la editorial Norma Kapelusz. Se buscó conocer y comparar las lógicas de construcción del catálogo en dos dimensiones de análisis fundamentales: por un lado, la articulación de factores internos como los enfoques de producción editorial, la identidad de la colección en la cual se enmarcan la producciones, etc.; y, por el otro, factores externos como transformaciones sociales, políticas públicas, escenarios de aparición de estas problemáticas, y mediaciones involucradas, que se articulan en las decisiones de selección, compra y adquisición de los libros de este género específico, la llamada literatura complementaria. Entendemos entonces que para comprender este tipo de fenómenos sociales y culturales resulta clave avanzar en una relación entre factores intrínsecos y externos.
