Maquiavelo : conflicto y república

Abstract

Nuestro trabajo intenta abordar la teoría política de Maquiavelo, examinando y construyendo la dimensión conflictiva en relación a la República. El objetivo principal de este trabajo reside, en una primera instancia, en examinar a partir de Maquiavelo el “influjo” del conflicto sobre la República. Este análisis desvelará que la positividad de la tensión conflictiva es condición de posibilidad de la ley, de la libertad y, fundamentalmente, de la potencialidad, transformándose así en un “círculo virtuoso”. En cambio, cuando el conflicto aparece bajo la vertiente negativa, movidos por las sètte, la potencialidad se transforma en impotencia, en incapacidad de poder ser, cuyo fin más esperable será la muerte de la República. Así, esta forma derivada del conflicto nos pone ante la presencia, no ya de un círculo virtuoso, sino más, de un “círculo vicioso”. En una segunda instancia, pretendemos volver a pensar el conflicto maquiaveliano a la luz de tres autores contemporáneos: Antonio Gramsci, Claude Lefort y Chantal Mouffe. Esta indagación pondrá en evidencia que el conflicto entendido como potencialidad se reactualizará a partir de tres conceptos fundamentales: la crisis de Hegemonía para Gramsci; el anonimato del poder para Lefort y la construcción de identidades por parte de Mouffe.
