Abstract

El presente trabajo es una investigación cualitativa cuyo propósito es indagar la relación entre la comunidad Sorda y la lengua escrita desde el punto de vista de los integrantes de esa comunidad. Puntualmente, se estudian las representaciones sociales de los Sordos adultos de la provincia de Río Negro sobre su alfabetización, el uso que hacen del español escrito y nivel de competencia. A tal fin, se llevaron a cabo entrevistas en profundidad que permitieron reconstruir sus historias de vida teniendo como eje vertebrador esta temática, y a partir de éstas hacer visibles sus voces.
