Abstract

Relatório de estágio apresentado à Escola Superior de Educação de Paula Frassinetti para obtenção do grau de Mestre em Educação Pré-escolar. O processo de aquisição das competências linguísticas varia de criança para criança. Este processo depende de inúmeros fatores, fatores esses que contribuem para uma aquisição dentro dos padrões estabelecidos. As capacidades naturais da criança e o ambiente físico e social que envolve a criança são fatores determinantes para um desenvolvimento da linguagem oral. Uma Educadora de Infância deve estar atenta às dificuldades que o grupo apresenta, perceber as causas das mesmas e proporcionar uma intervenção adequada ao caso específico. As histórias surgem como um estímulo para o desenvolvimento da linguagem numa sala de três anos que apresenta atrasos de linguagem para a faixa etária em que se encontram. Estas representam inúmeras vantagens para o desenvolvimento da criança: contribuem para o crescimento cognitivo e emocional da mesma, desenvolvem a sua criatividade, sentido critico e aumentam gradualmente o seu vocabulário. Sabendo que no seio familiar muitas crianças não beneficiam de ouvir uma boa história, cabe ao jardim-de-infância e à escola assegurar que não lhes falte essa experiência tão enriquecedora e tão importante. O educador de infância tem portanto um papel fundamental ao reconhecer a importância das histórias para o desenvolvimento saudável da criança, devendo para isso proporcionar momentos de leitura regulares na sala de Jardim de Infância e estimular nas crianças o gosto pelos livros. The acquisition process of linguistic skills varies from child to child. This process depends on nomerous factors that contribute to an acquisition within established standards. The natural skills of the child and the physical and social environment surrounding the child are key factors for development of oral language. A kindergarden teacher should be aware of the difficulties that the group presents, understand the causes of difficulties and provide an adequate intervention to the specific case. The stories emerge as a stimulation for the development of language in a three year room, which features language delays for the age group they are in. Children’s stories represents many advantages for the child’s development: contribues to cognitive and emotional increase, develops the creativity, critical thinking and gradually enhances the vocabulary. Knowing that in the family environment many children don’t have the opportunity to hear a good story, it is up to the kindergarten to assure that they won’t miss such an enriching and important experience. The kindergarden teacher therefore plays a key role in recognizing the importance of stories for a healthy child development, and to do so, he should provide regular reading times in the kindergarden room and stimulate their fondness for books. At the same time, stories compose a determinant factor for the language development in a class room for three years old children that present problems on the language development.
