Türkiye’nin Endemik tatlı su balık faunası

Abstract

Türkiye’de tatlı su balıkları ile ilgili sistematik ve ihtiyocoğrafik çalışmaların eksikliği nedeniyle, Türkiye’nin balık faunçeşitliliğinin ne derecede öneme sahip olduğu yeterince anlaşılamamıştır. Yapılan son çalışmalar ışığında, Türkiye’nin siyasi sıiçerisinde toplam 154 endemik balık türünün varlığı bilinmektedir. Buna göre Türkiye tatlı su balık faunasının (368 tür) %40’fazlası Dünya’nın başka hiç bir ülkesinde bulunmamaktadır. Bu çalışmada endemik tatlı su balık faunasının sistematik, codağılım ve ekolojik yönden bir analizi yapılmıştır. Ayrıca endemik balıkların IUCN kriterlerine göre tehlike kategorileri ve bu üzerindeki tehditler ele alınmıştır.
