Abstract

[ES]Este trabajo caracteriza y analiza el comportamiento de los eventos extremos asociados a la precipitación en la parte central del departamento de Santander, Colombia, con una base de datos de quince estaciones meteorológicas comprendidas en el periodo 1975 – 2010 haciendo uso de índices climáticos obtenidos con el software de RClimdex. Los resultados mostraron tendencias negativas de la precipitación total anual y el número de días al año cuando la precipitación es mayor a 20 mm y 40 mm; por lo contrario se presentaron tendencias positivas para la precipitación máxima anual en un día y para la precipitación total anual mayor al percentil 99. Igualmente se encontró una relación directamente proporcional entre los diferentes índices de precipitación y la altitud de cada estación.

[EN]It was made a study about the trends of diary rainfall data using five indexes of RClimDex software, supported with a database of fifteen meteorological stations (period 1970 - 2010). The research uses statistical test to identify rainfall decrease or increase trends and describe the relationship between that trends and altitudinal range. The results suggest that the tendency to precipitation decrease take place around the meteorological stations located between 150 – 1.000 masl while the rainfall increase take place in a range between 1.000 – 2.000 masl.
