Augmented Reality in First Aid Training

Abstract

For å få høygradserfaringer med å håndtere ulykker, er det nødvendig med live-trening. De må gjennomføres periodisk og er viktige i mange organisasjoner, men er dyre å sette opp. Nåværende metoder brukt i live-trening for behandling av sår er begrenset av at fysisk replikering av slike situasjoner er ressurskrevende. Live-trening er nødvendig for å tilegne seg ferdigheter ved økt erfaring og trening på konkrete caser, men slik trening baserer seg ofte på et bytte mellom nøyaktighet og effektivitet av oppsett. Augmented Reality(AR)-teknologier muliggjør blanding av det fysiske treningsmiljøet med digitale representasjoner av skader. Denne avhandlingen presenterer en evaluering av bruk av AR i førstehjelpstrening, blant annet ved design av AR-applikasjon som bruker en HoloLens og trykksensitive sensorer, basert på gjentatte observasjoner av live-trening. Hovedresultatet er denne designløsningen som illustrerer mulighetene til AR og sensorer, samt en prototype som viser dens hovedfunksjonalitet.
