Abstract

Den 3. juni 2015 vart den første demonstrasjonen under slagordet ”Ni Una Menos” (ikkje éi mindre) halden i gatene i Buenos Aires. Etter stadig nye rapportar om jenter og kvinner som var drepne av kjærasten, ektemannen eller andre menn, gjekk fleire journalistar, artistar og aktivistar saman for å markere sin forakt mot kvinnedrap og kjønnsrelatert vald. Dei peika på at myndigheitene må gjere meir for å førebygge og omsider få ein slutt på vald mot kvinner. Samtidig understreka dei at den mannssjåvinistiske kulturen som underordnar kvinner må endrast på eit kulturelt og sosialt plan. Synleggjeringa av vald mot kvinner har gjort seg gjeldane både i sosiale media og i pressa de siste åra. Også gjennom litteraturen har dette problemet vorte belyst. I denne oppgåva vil vi sjå på korleis vald mot kvinner kjem til syne i to argentinske kriminalromanar frå 2016: La sombra del otro av Alicia Plante og Cornelia av Florencia Etcheves. Denne litterære sjangeren har oppigjennom tida vore eit medium for kritikk av ulike høve og problem i samfunnet. Målet med oppgåva er å sjå på korleis vald mot kvinner vert synleggjort i romanane. Korleis kjem bodskapet ”Ni Una Menos” fram i bøkene, og korleis kan dette vere med å kritisere situasjonen i dagens Argentina og resten av Latinamerika?
