This March marks the three whole years of the lab at HKDI since 2013! Over these few years, the lab has run over 20 projects focused on design and openness. All these projects are recorded in the book Open Design in Action! Open Debates and Projects for Our Open Society, with the introduction by Dr Liesbeth Huybrechts and Niels Hendriks, visiting scholars of the lab from Belgium. All the projects are divided into three categories of ‘open language’, ‘open minds’ and ‘open hearts’; which are also the framework the lab tries to purpose for an open society through design. It demonstrates the attempt to explore different aspects of openness through design actions. The lab would like to dedicate the books to all creative citizens in Hong Kong.
