Aldo Rossi a Borgoricco

Authors: Visentin, Chiara;

Aldo Rossi a Borgoricco

Abstract

The Town Hall of Borgoricco by Aldo Rossi reflects the ancient and expressive simplicity of Palladio and expresses exactly what Rossi said about the orders designed and created by Andrea Palladio: "It is not only the re-use of the past to use these orders, as they are part of a whole vocabulary that Palladio made it available". In research as in reality we want to investigate in Borgoricco Town Hall by Rossi (although in theory he has always spoken of urban system, the importance of a number of different elements that are linked from the urban context as a cornerstone of the new city) the concept of a suburban villa d'apres the Antique, with its typical elements (the barchesse, the central piazza, or field, the porticoes) and its surrounding farmland. The building does not aspire to be a building or a monument builder of the city, but only one locus in a villa belonging to the agricultural world, Veneto and analyzed for years he was fascinated by that.
