Fluxograma dos processos de delimitação encaminhados pela FUNAI

O grupo de trabalho foi criado pelo decreto nº 88.118/83 e teve a coordenação do Ministério da Reforma e do Desenvolvimento Agrário (MIRAD). Além da extensa relação de áreas indígenas abordadas, o arquivo é complementado pelas "Informações Técnicas" e memorando. As atividades contempladas foram desenvolvidas entre os anos de 1985 e 1987.

A nomenclatura utilizada aqui para o título foi elaborada pelo Arquivo Nacional, que possui a guarda da documentação arquivada no fundo ASI/FUNAI. Refere-se a um grupo de trabalho interministerial para atuar nos processos de demarcações de áreas indígenas.
