Abstract

El presente estudio analiza los procedimientos asistenciales de punción venosa y sondajes nasoent rico, nasogástrico) en paciente pediátrico, realizados por el enfermero en Unidad de Internación Pediátrica, buscando identificar la frecuencia y el tiempo gastado en su realización, con el propósito de suministrar elementos para la planificación de recursos humanos de enfermerla. Se trata de un estudio de observación, exploratorio descriptivo, realizado en un hospital de enseñanza de Porto Alegre, Rio Grande do Sul, Brasil. Participaron dos enfermeros, seleccionados de forma intencional. Para la toma de datos se utilizó un registro estructurado de observación. El tiempo promedio gastado en la realización de la punción venosa fue de 17,62 minutos y el de los sondajes fue de 10,8 minutos. Los resultados posibilitaron una comprensión de la complejidad de los procesos investigados, cuyos elementos se relacionan al proceso de trabajo del enfermero y de los demás profesionales involucrados, asl como de la familia y del niño sometido a dichos procedimentos

O estudo analisa os procedimentos assistenciais de punção venosa e sondagens (naso-entérica e naso-gástrica) em paciente pediátrico, realizados pelo enfermeiro em Unidade de Internação Pediátrica, buscando identificar a freqüência e o tempo despendido na sua realização com vistas a fornecer subsídios para o planejamento de recursos humanos de enfermagem. Trata-se de um estudo observacional, exploratório-descritivo, realizado em um hospital universitário de Porto Alegre, Rio Grande do Sul. Participaram do estudo dois enfermeiros, selecionados de forma intencional. Para a coleta de dados, utilizou-se um registro estruturado de observação. O tempo médio despendido na realização de punção venosa foi de =>,?2 minutos e das sondagens foi de =0,8 minutos. Os resultados possibilitaram uma compreensão da complexidade dos processos investigados, cujos elementos relacionam-se ao processo de trabalho do enfermeiro e dos demais profissionais envolvidos, assim como da família e da criança submetida a procedimentos

This article is an observational study that analyzes the performance of venous punctures and nasogastric and nasointestinal tube placement in pediatric patients, performed by nurses in a pediatric ward. This exploratory descriptive study was carried out at a teaching hospital in Porto Alegre, Rio Grande do Sul, Brazil, and its purpose is to identify fre4uency and time spent in the performance of these procedures, as well as to provide data for the management of nursing human resources. Two nurses were selected intentionally and an observation structured record was used to collect the data. The average time spent in the performance of venous punctures was 17.62 minutes, and tube placement, 10.8 minutes. The outcomes provided an understanding of the processes complexity, whose elements are related to the nurse’s work process, as well as to the other professionals involved, the family and the child who underwent the procedures
