Abstract

Oudere migranten zijn vaker eenzaam dan hun Nederlandseleeftijdsgenoten. Er is nog maar weinig bekend over de specifiekeoorzaken hiervan, noch wat er kan worden gedaan om zich te wapenentegen ernstige eenzaamheid. Reden voor de Vrije Universiteit en het NIDIom een nieuw onderzoek te starten. De eerste resultaten laten zien datTurkse en Marokkaanse oudere migranten minder sterk eenzaam zijnwanneer zij zich verbonden voelen met de Nederlandse samenleving ofmet hun eigen etnische groep.
