Diagnosis of diabetes mellitus is in many cases a decisive turning-point in patients' life, often seriously affecting his family, profession and social contacts. Physicians engaged in Public Health work must take these sociomedical aspects into consideration, as well as the modern treatment methods in diabetes, when preparing their medical expertises concerning diabetic patients.
