Abstract

La Autoridad de los Recursos Acuáticos de Panamá, a través del Proyecto de Fortalecimiento Institucional e Integración de Políticas y Estrategias para el Desarrollo Rural Nacional, financiado por el Ministerio de Economía finanzas y la Agencia Española de Cooperación Internacional para el Desarrollo, se complacen en presentar esta cartilla con el objetivo de proveer una base técnica para el fortalecimiento de las granjas de cultivos de tilapia a través de la divulgación de procedimientos, prácticas e información general que sirvan de orientación para una producción exitosa. El cultivo de la tilapia, como actividad productiva, es una alternativa económica y alimentaria que llega a un amplio sector de la población panameña y goza de aceptación en el mercado nacional e internacional. La información presentada en este documento es una guía básica para los productores, técnicos en formación y público general, interesados en mejorar los conocimientos en este rubro.
