Abstract

Para diciembre se reportaron valores altos (20%) de hembras próximas a desovar During the períod April 2009 - 2010 the artisan fishing situation of the resource was analyzed guariche or red crab Ucides occidentalis (Ortmann, 1897) in the estuary of river Chone, considering commercial disembarkations and their habitat “in situ”. The total effort average corresponded 84 collectors/day fishes, with a capture average of 36 crabs equivalent to 6 strings. Average of 7, 5 cm wide cephalothorax was registered a 90% of male unit with stature (AC); whereas 10% of exemplary females I present/display a stature average of 6,5 cm AC. The sampling of population density I am made in 36 stations corresponding to the six localities crab sellers located in the estuary having reported a density of 0,7 crabs/m2. The percentage of male presents/displays was of 63% with a stature average 7,3 cm AC and 37% of the females I present/display a stature average 6,3 cm AC. For December was a recorded high values (20%) of females next to spawn. Published
