Based on the coding of relevant national judgments, the Croatian report provides new and original insights related to the practice of the Croatian courts involved in reviewing the decisions of the Croatian Competition Agency. The book chapter consists of six sections. The first section provides a historical outline and institutional and enforcement framework. The second section describes the role of the High Administrative Court and the Supreme Court in reviewing competition authority's decisions and explains the role of the Constitutional Court. The third section examines prior research in the field. The fourth section provides a quantitative analysis of the relevant dataset, including insights regarding success rates, types of decisions subject to appeal, grounds of appeal, etc. The fifth section offers qualitative analysis, focusing inter alia on the scope and intensity of judicial review, the impact of the Constitutional Court rulings in competition cases, overall enforcement trends and sanctions, the application of EU competition law, and excessive formalism in judicial interpretation. The sixth section provides concluding remarks.
