[Realisation of CINDI project as an element of comprehensive project "Pabianice--A Healthy Town"].

Abstract

The purpose of the paper is to present the realization of CINDI Project by a group of Centers of Medicine of Work in Pabianice within the project "Pabianice--A Healthy Town". The study was carried out during 1995-1999 among the employees of the plants operating in the town of Pabianice. The study focused on: comprehensive medical examinations performed by the physicians of occupational medicine in co-operation with other specialist consultants, blood sampling with particular emphasis on the level of cholesterol, triglicerides and glucose. The examinations allowed an early detection of diseases and appropriate treatment as well as health promotion and health education among the employees of the institution in Pabianice.
