[Protection of patient rights in system of compulsory medical insurance].

Abstract

The features of patients' strategies realizing their legal interests in compulsory medical insurance was studied. The survey included 568 respondents and 3 in-focus interviews was organized. The research data revealed people's lower awareness of their health care rights. Typology of behavior models related to rights protection had been developed on the basis of such criteria as readiness to protect one's own legal interests in compulsory medical insurance and expected outcomes of one's activities. The patterns of passive pessimistic, active pessimistic and active optimistic patients' strategies had been highlighted.
