[Latex allergies].

Abstract

Allergies to latex is a motive for recent worry in the health field due to the increasing prevalence of latex. In order to assure the security of patients sensitive to latex during their hospital stay, it is absolutely necessary to know what latex is, which sanitary products contain it and which do not, as well as how an allergic reaction to latex manifests itself and what are the prescribed methods to carry out in order to avoid these. This article describes the material used and the operating procedures to follow when treating a patient who is allergic to latex and who is in a hospital as the recipient of a kidney implant.
