
Bronchiolitis obliterans organizing pneumonia (BOOP) is a rare cause of pulmonary infiltration and breathlessness which is usually associated with systemic and constitutional ill health. Its aetiology is unclear. The importance of its recognition lies in the characteristic response of the condition to treatment with high-dose corticosteroids.
