`Investigation of Spatial Planning Process in Samsun-Çarşamba with the Aspect of Urban Landscape Planning` with thesis, a number of theoretical researches such as urban, planning, zoning planning, planning processes, landscape, urban landscape and urban landscape planning were conducted.The aim of this thesis is; The aim of this study is to determine how the planning process of Samsun-Çarşamba district, which is defined as history, culture and nature city, is reflected to the urban landscape and to create preliminary data for future plans for urban landscape planning and to develop urban landscape planning proposals to improve the livability and quality of life in the settlement. For this purpose, the planning process of Samsun-Çarşamba district, which is defined as ır Yeşilırmak city elenmiş, is examined in terms of urban landscape and urban landscape planning suggestions are presented.In this study, geographic information systems programs, satellite imagery, central application development plan, revision-additional development plan and reports on these plans were utilized. The urban landscape characteristics of the research area have been revealed both in the research area and on the scale of the neighborhoods based on the surface area information of the urban area uses in the development plans. The open and green areas of the city were also examined in terms of their total surface area, thus providing information on the current situation before developing urban landscape planning proposals.The results obtained in the study show that the open and green area system in the district of Çarşamba could not be reached in the development plan and the areas allocated as park areas, children's playgrounds and sports areas should be used in accordance with the purpose.

`Samsun-Çarşamba'da Mekânsal Planlama Sürecinin Kentsel Peyzaj Planlama Açısından İrdelenmesi` konulu tez ile peyzaj, kentsel peyzaj, planlama, imar planı, planlama süreçleri ve kentsel peyzaj planlama gibi kavramlara ilişkin kuramsal araştırmalar yapılmıştır. Bu tezin amacı; tarih, kültür ve doğa şehri olarak tanımlanan Samsun-Çarşamba ilçesine ilişkin planlama sürecinin kent peyzajına nasıl yansıdığını saptayarak gelecekte yapılacak planlar için kentsel peyzaj planlama açısından ön veri oluşturmak ve yerleşmede yaşanabilirliği ve yaşam kalitesini geliştirmek için kentsel peyzaj planlama önerileri geliştirmektir. Bu amaç doğrultusunda, 'Yeşilırmak şehri' olarak tanımlanan Samsun-Çarşamba ilçesinin planlama süreci kentsel peyzaj açısından irdelenmiş ve kentsel peyzaj planlama önerileri sunulmuştur.Bu çalışmada, coğrafi bilgi sistemleri programları, uydu görüntüsü, mer'i uygulama imar planı, revizyon-ilave imar planı ve bu planlara ilişkin raporlardan faydalanılmıştır. İmar planlarındaki kentsel alan kullanımlarının yüzölçümleri bilgilerinden yola çıkılarak araştırma alanının kentsel peyzaj özellikleri hem araştırma alanı genelinde hem de mahalleler ölçeğinde ortaya konulmuştur. Kentin açık ve yeşil alanları da ayrıca toplam yüzölçümleri bakımından incelenmiş, böylece kentsel peyzaj planlama önerileri geliştirilmesi öncesinde mevcut duruma ait bilgilere yer verilmiştir. Araştırmada elde edilen sonuçlar, Çarşamba ilçesinde açık ve yeşil alan sisteminin oluşturulmasında öncelikle imar planında öngörülen açık ve yeşil alan düzeyine ulaşılamadığını ve imar planında park alanı, çocuk bahçesi ve spor alanları olarak ayrılan alanların amacına uygun olarak kullanılması gerektiğini göstermektedir.
