Abstract

The aim of this study was to investigate level of social utility from academic staff to the students in faculties offorestry in Turkey. In the study, the Atkinson indices were used to calculate for three different kinds ofacademic staff both 2000 – 2001 and 2007 – 2008. The data were depended on OSYM publishing. The indiceshave found that there are inequalitive distribution of academic persons and that there are seriously loosing ofsocial utility for the students from academic staff. There were high levels of loosing for social utility fromintervarsity inequalitive distribution in Turkish forestry education. Especially these corruptions were notacceptable level for associated professors.

Bu çalışmada devlet üniversitelerindeki orman fakülteleri arasında öğrenci ve öğretim üyesi sayılarının dengesizdağılmasından kaynaklanan sosyal fayda kaybının ölçülmesine odaklanılmıştır. Çalışmada üç farklı öğretimüyesi kadrosu ve iki öğretim dönemi için Atkinson endeksleri kullanılmıştır. Uygulamada kullanılan verilerÖSYM'nin yayınlarına dayanmaktadır. Hesaplanan endeks katsayıları, öğretim üyelerinin fakülteleredağılımlarının öğrenci sayılarına göre ciddi düzeyde dengesiz olduğunu ve öğrencilerin öğretim üyelerindensağladıkları sosyal faydadan ciddi kayıplarının mevcut olduğunu g
