Abstract

The aim of this study is to determine the insect species, which are harmful on Crimean pine(P. nigra Arnold), in Adana forests. The study was intensified at Adana vicinity, Feke,Saimbeyli, Pos and Pozantı Forest Maenagement Directories, where black pine growsnaturally, but at the other provinces it was made as survey study.As a result of the study, 9 harmful insects which were harmful Crimean pine (P. nigraArnold) from Thaumetopoeidae, Curculionidae, Scolytidae, Pyralidae, Tortricidae familiesand 2 predators from Cleridae and Trogossitidae families were determined in the study area.

Bu çalışma ile Adana ili karaçam ağaçlarında (Pinus nigra Arnold) zarar yapan böcek türleriaraştırılmıştır. Bu amaçla Adana ili sınırları içinde karaçamların yoğun olarak bulunduğuFeke, Saimbeyli, Pos ve Pozantı Orman İşletme Müdürlüğünde araştırmalar yoğunlaştırılmış,diğer bölgelerde ise arazi taraması şeklinde çalışma yapılmıştır.Araştırma neticesinde karaçamda zarar yapan Thaumetopoeidae, Curculionidae, Scolytidae,Pyralidae, Tortricidae familyalarına dahil 9 zararlı böcek türünün yanısıra Cleridae veTrogossitidae familyasına mensup 2 yırtıcı böcek türü tespit edilmiştir.
