Among the “SDGs 2030”, objective no. 7 intends to ensure access to sustainable and modern energy systems for the entire population, such as those related to renewable energies exploitation. The study of the state of the art has still highlighted strong shortcomings in the definition of strategies and methods for the compatible interventions in consolidated contexts. Therefore, this paper aims to illustrate the results of a research that questions about the modalities of technological systems diffusion to exploit renewable energies within minor historical centres. These contexts are still little investigated but of great interest, both for the high diffusion on the Italian territory, and for their values and peculiarities. The developed methodology was validated in some case studies located in the province of L'Aquila, Italy.
