ABSOLUTE LONG DISTANCE MEASUREMENTS IN AIR

Abstract

The presentation will briefly summarize the objectives and give progress of the joint research project “absolute long distance measurement in air”, elected within the “length” targeted program of the European metrological research program (EMRP). As suggested by its title, the project has the ambition to go beyond the current state of the art in the long range distance measurements (> 10 m up to 1 km outdoor), reaching a relative accuracy of 10-7, that is at present time a challenge.
