This article addresses the evolution in the participation of women in the House of Representatives for the Tolima constituency during the last three legislative periods following the implementation of the Quota Law, from a qualitative approach, with an exploratory and descriptive scope. analyzing the changes in the regulatory structure and the adjustments in the legal framework, in addition to the perceptions of the women Representatives for Tolima of both their performance and the challenges and tensions they face when participating in this collegiate body, showing that although they are evident advances in the participation of women in decision-making positions such as the Chamber, the legislation in terms of positive discrimination still presents a deficit in relation to the objectives of the Quota Law.
Este artículo aborda la evolución en la participación de las mujeres en la Cámara de Representantes por la circunscripción del Tolima durante los tres últimos periodos legislativos a partir de la implementación de la Ley de Cuotas, desde un enfoque cualitativo, con un alcance exploratorio y descriptivo, analizando los cambios en la estructura normativa y los ajustes en el marco jurídico, además de las percepciones de las mujeres Representantes por el Tolima tanto de su desempeño como de los desafíos y tensiones que enfrentan al participar en este cuerpo colegiado, mostrando que aunque se evidencian avances en la participación de las mujeres en cargos decisionales como la Cámara, la legislación en términos de discriminación positiva aun presenta un déficit en relación a los objetivos de la Ley de cuotas.
