Esta guía tiene como objetivo informar acerca de los humedales naturales y artificiales como una alternativa sostenible en el tratamiento de agua residual, debido a que el estudio y análisis de estos sistemas son de suma importancia ya que a raíz de las diversas problemáticas ambientales y la baja disponibilidad del recurso hídrico es necesario evaluar diversas alternativas en búsqueda de soluciones costo-eficientes y fácilmente adaptables a las condiciones locales (Esponda, 2001).
This guide aims to inform about natural and artificial wetlands as a sustainable alternative in wastewater treatment, because the study and analysis of these systems are of utmost importance since, as a result of the various environmental problems and the low availability of water resources, it is necessary to evaluate various alternatives in search of cost-efficient solutions that are easily adaptable to local conditions (Esponda, 2001).
