Este producto de investigación está dirigido a los gobiernos locales, académicos, empresariales y a la población en general, que tengan la oportunidad de capacitarse para gestionar el conocimiento del recurso hídrico, con un adecuado plan de manejo. El libro consta de cuatro capítulos en el siguiente orden: en el primer capítulo el propósito fundamental es lograr que las personas conozcan y manejen la teoría y la práctica de la responsabilidad frente al recurso hídrico, en el segundo capítulo se desglosa el agua como patrimonio de la sociedad, su valoración dada a través del consumo per cápita para revisar los costos ambientales que concienticen a la población en general de su uso adecuado, en este tercer capítulo del libro, se realiza una aproximación de la oferta y demanda en recursos hidrológicos de aguas superficiales en cuatro países de Latinoamérica, haciendo especial énfasis México, Ecuador, Chile y Colombia, en el cuarto capítulo se esboza el acceso al agua potable en el sentido de la responsabilidad recomendada por el GRI (Global Report Iniciative - GRI) a partir de las referencias normativas.
This research product is aimed at local governments, academics, businesses and the general population, who have the opportunity to be trained to manage knowledge of the water resource, with an adequate management plan. The book consists of four chapters in the following order: in the first chapter the fundamental purpose is to get people to know and manage the theory and practice of responsibility for water resources, in the second chapter water is broken down as heritage of society, its valuation given through per capita consumption to review the environmental costs that make the general population aware of its proper use, in this third chapter of the book, an approximation of supply and demand is made in hydrological water resources surface water in four Latin American countries, with special emphasis on Mexico, Ecuador, Chile and Colombia, the fourth chapter outlines access to drinking water in the sense of responsibility recommended by the GRI (Global Report Initiative - GRI) based on the normative references.
