Abstract

Este libro presenta un acercamiento analítico y crítico a la realidad de las empresas familiares y al contexto que las rodea. Teniendo como base la racionalidad gubernamental neoliberal, que implica unas formas de acción y de relación de los sujetos con el mundo social y empresarial, se realiza una comprensión de las formas de organización y las estrategias competitivas que utilizan estas empresas para permanecer en el mercado y para enfrentarse exitosamente a las condiciones económicas, sociopolíticas y empresariales que la globalización supone. El libro, por tanto, realiza una caracterización de las ventajas, limitaciones, oportunidades y barreras con las que cuentan las empresas familiares y con base en ellas se proponen unas estrategias que permitan no solo su supervivencia en el mercado, sino el incremento de su productividad y competitividad en un contexto cada vez más globalizado, aprovechando precisamente la esencia de ser familiares y las potencialidades que ello implica. Las estrategias descritas en este texto no se constituyen en una suerte de receta para el éxito, sino en un punto de partida para que las empresas familiares puedan mirarse a sí mismas y encontrar en su interior aquellos aspectos que potencian o impiden su crecimiento y puedan generar nuevas formas de enfrentarse a un entorno de competitividad global.
