La vulneración constante de los derechos de la mujer es el pretexto para analizar cuál ha sido el rol de protección a los mismos que ha realizado, durante los últimos quince años, la Corte Constitucional de Colombia. Esta revisión, se hace a partir de una selección de sentencias que, permitirán vislumbrar cuáles han sido los mecanismos y herramientas que ha establecido el principal órgano jurídico de Colombia para proteger a las mujeres, como sujetos especiales de derechos y, así medir sus avances normativos y jurisprudenciales. En el mismo sentido, se presentará una reflexión sobre algunos de los recursos jurídicos nacionales e internacionales existentes que han ayudado a la protección de las mujeres, y a la creación de leyes y jurisprudencias. Por lo tanto, la intención de este artículo es ofrecer una línea de tiempo que parte desde los inicios de los años 30 en Colombia, y que inicia muchos años atrás en el mundo con convenciones internacionales que promulgaban acciones para prevenir y erradicar cualquier forma de violencia hacia las mujeres para identificar cuáles han sido esos avances.

The constant violation of women's rights is the pretext for analyzing the role played by the Colombian Constitutional Court in protecting these rights over the last fifteen years. This review is based on a selection of rulings that will provide a glimpse of the mechanisms and tools that Colombia's main legal body has established to protect women as special subjects of rights, and thus measure its normative and jurisprudential progress. In the same vein, a reflection will be presented on some of the existing national and international legal resources that have helped in the protection of women, and the creation of laws and jurisprudence. Therefore, the intention of this article is to offer a timeline that starts in the early 1930s in Colombia, and begins many years ago in the world with international conventions that enacted actions to prevent and eradicate any form of violence against women in order to identify what progress has been made
