Abstract

El liderazgo es uno de los roles más importantes dentro de la estructura social, ya que desde allí se toman decisiones que determinan el futuro de un grupo de personas. Teniendo en cuenta esta premisa, el propósito del presente artículo es analizar la perspectiva que los alumnos de la I. E. D. Pío XII, del municipio de Guatavita, Cundinamarca, tienen respecto al concepto de liderazgo y representación, y la preponderancia de esto dentro del gobierno escolar y la práctica democrática, ya que es la educación el eje de orientación que construye la formación de los individuos, y es a través de la escuela que las características y habilidades de un líder, deben ser resaltadas, inculcadas y fortalecidas. Investigación que se aborda a partir de un delimitado estudio de caso, implementando un diseño mixto de investigación, mediante el enfoque descriptivo; revelando las principales falencias y vacíos conceptuales de acuerdo a los datos recolectados mediante encuestas y entrevistas realizadas a los alumnos de los cursos superiores de la institución, y así, formular soluciones que conlleven al éxito del ejercicio democrático, aprovechando los resultados de ejercicios con grupos focales. Resultados que permitirán determinar ¿de qué manera influyen los líderes escolares en la toma de decisiones por parte de los estudiantes? Lo que da paso a evidenciar la dimensión de los fenómenos electorales denunciados por instituciones como la MOE.

Leadership is one of the most important roles within the social structure, since, from there, decisions are made and these ones determine the future of a group of people. Taking into account this premise, the purpose of this article is to analyze the perspective that the students of the I. E. D. Pius XII, of the municipality of Guatavita, Cundinamarca, have regarding the concept of leadership and representation, along with what this encompasses within the school government and democratic practice, since it is education the axis of orientation that builds the individuals training, and it is through the school that the characteristics and abilities of a leader, should be highlighted, inculcated and strengthened. Research that is approached from a delimited case study, implementing a mixed research design, using the descriptive approach; revealing the main shortcomings and conceptual gaps according to the data collected through surveys and interviews with students in the higher education courses of the institution, and thus formulating solutions that will lead to the success of the democratic exercise, taking advantage of the results of focus group exercises. Results to determine how school leaders influence student decision-making by students?. This gives rise to evidence of the magnitude of the electoral phenomena denounced by institutions such as the MOE.
