The main traumas are traumatic hyphema and sclopetaria chorioretinitis and vitreous hemorrhage, giving loss of visual acuity, even developing cataracts. The blunt-type closed globe ocular trauma is the most frequent trauma in this review with 88% (15), it regularly occurs unilaterally, presenting with a greater proportion 82% (14) in the male gender. The use of eye protectors is recommended. Ocular trauma in combat sports deserves more research to evaluate the follow-up and evolution of cases.
