Abstract

The Orinoquia region or also called "Los Llanos Orientales" is a strategic area for the country due to the concurrence in its territory of Andean, Amazonian and natural savannah ecosystems that represent a wide range of goods and services of its ecosystems. Ecosystem services (ES) are the benefits that societies obtain from ecosystems. In this document, the reader will find a qualitative and quantitative analysis of the management of 17 SE in the Orinoco River Basin by the Orinoquia Regional Autonomous Corporation (Corporinoquia) between the years 2007 to 2020. The SE were grouped according to with the Common International Classification of Ecosystem Services CICES V5.1, in the categories of provisioning, cultural and regulation and maintenance. The above, taking the environmental axis as the articulator of the territory planning proposed in the Action Plans (AP) for the period 2007 to 2020 of the CAR. The results around the territorial planning described in the Action Plans are written in the annual management reports of the CAR, base documents for this research, from which it is sought to establish from the actions contained in the projects that are within of the strategic and missionary processes of the AA. What has been the prioritization of ES in the environmental management strategies of the Orinoco river basin in the jurisdiction of Corporinoquia ?, and if the management strategies lead to the sustainable use and use of natural resources, ensuring the conservation of the biodiversity over time.
