Análisis Exergoambiental del Proceso de Obtención de Aceite de Sacha Inchi (Plukenetia Volubilis) en Santander Colombia

Abstract

In recent years there has been a growing trend in the consumption of Sacha inchi oil and its participation in the country's economy, which makes it a business idea that is attractive for the agro-industrial sector. This study proposes an exergo-environmental analysis for the process of obtaining Sacha inchi oil under the cold pressing, taking a case study in Santander department- In addition, it was directed at the identification of value-added products from the solid waste generated with technologies under the concept of biorefinery. The research was based on the exergy and environmental analysis and the estimation of exergy-environmental variables in both schemes. The simulation of the production process was carried out in Aspen Plus. The evaluation of the environmental impacts was carried out in the SimaPro 9.0 software, using the Impact 2002+ method. It was found that the high consumption of electrical work in the press (97% of the process), affected the global exergetic efficiency. Similarly, the combustion reactions in the boiler represented 64.26% of the irreversibilities in the biorefinery scheme. The life cycle analysis determined that the consumption of diesel and hexane represents 45% and 41% respectively of the environmental load of the biorefinery, mainly affecting the category of inorganic respiratory and non-renewable energies. The production of Sacha inchi oil resulted in an environmental impact of 13.58 mPt/h, which managed to be reduced by 11 %, with 49% energy self-sufficiency in the production process, where the specific environmental impacts of electricity were of 91.58 mPt/GJ. Finally, the oil production together with the concentrate reached values of 60.43 mPt / h.
