Abstract

En la actualidad la producción de biodiesel a partir de aceite de higuerilla (Ricinus communis L) se ha visto restringida debido a los altos costos del aceite vegetal. Una alternativa para disminuir los costos de producción es la mezcla del aceite de higuerilla con aceite de cocinausado, el cual es más económico. En este trabajo se evaluó la producción de biodiesel a partir de mezclas de aceite de higuerilla con aceite de cocinausado, las cuales fueron sometidas posteriormente a transesterificación. Inicialmente se caracterizaron los dos aceites empleados. Posteriormente se realizó la mezcla entre el 0% y el 20%
