Abstract

The present investigation exposes the social and cultural transformations that are presented in the rural community of Corregimiento one of the municipality of Soacha as a result of the mining activity of construction materials. In that sense, emphasis is placed on territorial tensions that are evidenced by the use and use of land in this rural area, highlighting the role of communicative practices as a mechanism for organizing, participating and enunciating communities. Therefore, we analyze the most notorious repercussions that extractivism brings to the social, cultural and environmental systems of the territory. It also reveals the role of the peasant population and social organizations to mitigate the damage caused by mining.
